This past year in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been full of challenges, surprises, and countless moments of God’s faithfulness. Even amid conflict in eastern DRC, lives have been transformed through Scripture, practical training, and the dedication of local leaders.
Waiting and Preparation
Early in the year, plans to return to Congo were delayed due to instability in the east. During this season, communication with local partners continued as Ron and Doris actively prepared awaiting their return. Thank you for joining with us as we interceded for the DRC during this crucial time.
Returning with Joy
In April, Ron and Doris returned to Mbandaka with 400 Proclaimer Audio Bibles. Resurrection Day was celebrated with Congolese families, teacher training was conducted, and leadership meetings helped strengthen the foundation of ongoing ministry.
By summer, listening clubs multiplied rapidly. Hundreds of people in villages, the central prison, and military bases gathered to hear Scripture in their own heart languages, reaching thousands.
Praises
In 2025, a total of 850 Proclaimers were distributed.
The Proclaimer ministry continues to establish new listening clubs in Mbandaka, nearby villages, and in other regions in Congo as people eagerly seek to hear God’s Word in their native languages.
The English Bible Training Center had a successful year of growth in numbers and enthusiasm for learning English and hearing the Gospel. Many have come to faith and are growing in Christ.

Farming God’s Way continues sporadically, with a need for follow-up and guidance on how to apply the principles learned on a larger scale.
The seven pastors faithfully continue their weekly “Thirdmill Theology” studies with the goal of becoming certified in Christian ministry and fruitful in God’s Word!
The distribution of reading glasses gave individuals the ability to see clearly and opened doors to share the gospel.
Former prisoners are leading Scripture listening clubs in their communities, sharing hope and the transformative message of the Gospel.
Pastors and local leaders have requested more Proclaimers as listening clubs continue to expand.

Prayer Needed for 2026
The hunger for God’s Word continues to grow across Congo. Plans for the coming year include:
Expanding distribution of Proclaimer Audio Bibles
Training additional listening club facilitators
Strengthening follow-up for Farming God’s Way discipleship
Supporting pastors and teachers in their spiritual and educational growth
Praying for peace, protection, and spiritual fruit across communities
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void.” – Isaiah 55:11
